My name is Mfoniso. I am my mother’s namesake. My family is from Nigeria and we are Ibibio. My family doesn’t call me by my given name, they call me by my nickname. They call me Kokoma. Koko means darling and ma is a derivative of mother. This translates to me being the darling of my mother. KokoMade means YOU are the darling of Africa. You have been created in the image of your creator, ancestors and land. You are the epitome of the image of Africa with all of its natural richness embodied within you. I also happen to be a lover of all things chocolate. I am Kokoma, I am KokoMade.

Born in the US and raised in NYC I am a science head, dancer who loves life. As a performing artist and director I have traveled the world dancing, exchanging and sharing with people of all different cultures.
